Motherhood / Mom You are special

Super Mom Stories are the sweetest!

Do you remember the day you found out you were pregnant.

It all started with a few tears of joy, excitement, those funny baby kicks, worry, sleepless nights, anxiety and finally the happiest tears rolling down your cheeks as you held your baby for the first time in your arms.

And the very next moment forgetting all the pain you went through. Such is motherhood!

Every Mom you meet has a different story to share, you might relate to some and to some you might not. But there is definitely something you can learn from others!

Let's hear what Reecha, who worked with Ericsson and now is enjoying being a stay at home mom with her daughter.

Super Mom Story - Feeding in public made easy
Please share your experiences on motherhood and how it has changed you as a person?
Motherhood is magical!! It has made me feel very special. My lil one has given me strength to a level where I never thought I could go to take care of her. Despite of all the challenges a new mom feels - the feeling of happiness and joy can't be described in words. Even when I am asleep, there is some divine connection with my daughter that tells me I should check on her.
How do you relax while juggling between a gazillions of tasks you have everyday?
My motto is - when she sleeps I overlook all the clutter and spend some time with myself.. Watching TV...reading book may be for 30 min but I try to get my 30 min in a day to feel better and ready for rest of the day. Now that she has grown up - I also enjoy doing craft projects with her and I also engage her in the daily chores like clean up after playtime so it feels great when she gives me a helping hand. So it's all fun and learning together.
Where all have you used O’HappySunshine kurtas? How has it made your life easier?
I wish I found about OHS kurtas a little earlier...I feel if I had this Kurta earlier, my daughter wouldn't have had to go on formula feed. But I feel I made the best choice that I had at hand. No regrets, honestly!
Your advice for other new mothers who are starting on with their journey?
Motherhood is tiring and very stressful but all that effort is worth the one hug one smile of your little one. Enjoy every bit of it. Don't miss it. Kids grow up too fast and all you are left with is memories! Make sure you make good ones!
Any other interesting experience you would like to share?
Every moment is interesting with my lil one. I really love my conversations with her when she wants to talk and behaves like me, make presents for me, feed me with her tiny hands. One day my daughter was not eating her food  and I told her if u will not eat, u will not become strong like mumma and then she came to me and said don't worry mumma it's ok don't worry.... and we had a hearty laugh together.

#SuperMom Diary

Do you remember the day you found out you were pregnant.

It all started with a few tears of joy, excitement, those funny baby kicks, worry, sleepless nights, anxiety and finally the happiest tears rolling down your cheeks as you held your baby for the first time in your arms.

Every Mom you meet has a different story to share, you might relate to some and to some you might not. But there is definitely something you can learn from others!

Let's hear what Sheel, who works with Schneider Electric has to share with us.

Please share your experiences on motherhood and how it has changed you as a person?
We all respect our mothers as a child. However, after becoming a mother myself only I could understand the pains my mother must had endured in making me a person I am today! It has taught me the real meaning of the word 'Maa'!
How do you relax while juggling between a gazillions of tasks you have everyday?
It's an art I guess which each mother learns in due course after receding its bundle of joy. The world is not same for me anymore.. I can not have time at my mercy now.. Best is to merge my relaxation with existing works.. For instance.. I watch my fav episodes when I am pumping milk for my baby. :)
Where all have you used O’HappySunshine kurtas? How has it made your life easier?
Airport.. Flight.. Train.. Almost everywhere. Moms in today's world do not stay at home like earlier days.. And this kurta helps maintain dignity with ease in public places while nursing.
Your advice for other new mothers who are starting on with their journey?
Be patient & relaxed. Tough times will pass leaving good memories.
Any other interesting experience you would like to share?
Feed your baby is the advice I would like to give to new moms. Don't start with bottle feeding early. It is the best time you can share with your baby. The love with which my baby looks at me after nursing him.. It's heaven!

#BeingWoman is special

...only if you realize!
I came across this little article written by Chetan Bhagat and it makes a lot of sense to me. Being a woman is special - you have to feel it within to actually live the life you want to.
We moms usually get tied up in doing things for the babies and rest of the family that we tend to forget that we have a Life too - we have/had choices too. And that becomes a way of life and we get okay with others having expectations from us, denying ourselves with what we like, giving up our own independent self for the family, doing more than what your body and mind can handle. Until one fine day we wake up realizing we are too far away from the shore and even if you shed a tear or two no one comes to help.
Just to not reach that breakdown point in life - you should always strive to have a fine balance between your personal and professional life. Your family and friends. Your choices and your family's needs. You really need to take a break before it breaks you!
If you are strong and your kids see you growing up taking care of yourself , you and spouse sharing responsibilities, I am sure we would raise strong and responsible lil humans and that's exactly what we need.
Happy Mothers Day
**Chetan Bhagat’s Suggestion For Women To Reduce Stress Will Touch Your Soul.**
Do Read it and share it with all the women you know..
Alright, this is not cool at all. A recent survey by Nielsen has revealed that Indian women are the most stressed out in the world: 87% of our women feel stressed out most of the time. This statistic alone has caused me to stress out. Even in workaholic America, only 53% women feel stressed.
What are we doing to our women? I’m biased, but Indian women are the most beautiful in the world. As mothers, sisters, daughters, colleagues, wives and girlfriends – we love them. Can you imagine life without the ladies?
For now, i want to give Indian women five suggestions to reduce their stress levels.
One, don’t ever think you are without power. If your mother in law doesn’t like you. Leave her views for her. Be who you are, not someone she wished you would be. She doesn’t like you? That’s her problem.
Two, if you are doing a good job at work and your boss doesn’t value you -tell him that, or quit. Talented, hard-working people are much in demand.
Three, educate yourself, learn skills, network – figure out ways to be economically independent. So next time your husband tells you that you are not a good enough wife, mother or daughter-in-law, you can tell him to take a hike.
Four, do not ever feel stressed about having a dual responsibility of family and work. It is difficult, but not impossible. The trick is not to expect an A+ in every aspect of your life. You are not taking an exam, and you frankly can’t score cent per cent (unless you are in SRCC, of course). It is okay if you don’t  do four dishes for lunch, one can fill their stomach with one. It is okay if you don’t work until midnight and don’t get a promotion.
Nobody remembers their job designation on their dying day.
Five, most important, don’t get competitive with other women. Someone will make a better scrapbook for her school project than you. Another will lose more weight with a better diet.
Your neighbor may make a six-dabba tiffin for her husband, you don’t – big deal.
Do your best, but don’t keep looking out for the report card, and definitely don’t expect to top the class. There is no ideal woman in this world, and if you strive to become one, there will be only one thing you will achieve for certain – stress.
So breathe, chill, relax. Tell yourself you are beautiful, do your best and deserve a peaceful life.
Anybody trying to take that away from you is making a mistake, not you. Your purpose of coming to this earth is not to please everyone. Your purpose is to offer what you have to the world, and have a good life in return. The next time this survey comes, i don’t want to see Indian women on top of the list. I want them to be the happiest women in the world.
